Laith Daik /President of Texas Loan Star

Laith I. Daik, has over 12 years experience in both residential and commercial finance. Laith I. Daik graduated Cum Laude in 1994 with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance and Economics from the University of Houston and immediately found his calling in real estate finance. He has an active real estate sales license, Texas Mortgage Brokers License, and a Texas Regulated Loan License. He manages all aspects of operation for both the commercial and residential loan departments including client relations, investor relations, and warehouse credit lines. Laith I. Daik is an active real estate investor and manages all aspects of personal income property portfolios consisting primarily of multi-family properties.  Laith is happily married to Jodie and they have recently welcomed a beautiful daughter, Josephine.

Andres Ibarra /Director of Administration

Andres Ibarra, Director of Administration of Texas Loan Star.  Migrated to Miami, Florida from his native Colombia almost 10 years ago, and moved to Houston in 2003 to be closer to his fiancée at the time (now his wife). Graduated with a Major in Finance from FIU, and obtained an Executive MBA from JMU. His knowledge of the mortgage business along with his academic achievements guarantee professional and objective input throughout the delivery of the services offered by Texas Loan Star. Andres enjoys traveling, reading, golfing, riding his motorcycle, and hosting events for friends and family.

Jack Vaughan /Sr. Loan Officer

Jack Vaughan is a Commercial and Residential Loan officer with 4 years of experience in the business. He graduated from the University of Houston in 1995 with a BS in Hotel Restaurant Management. He possesses great customer service skills, is an active cyclist, a Houston Astros fan, and a proud father and husband.

Halley Spencer /Loan Officer

Halley Spencer is a Residential Loan Officer that has been with the company for over 6 years. He is a Houston Heights native (born in Heights Hospital), attended S.P. Waltrip High school and then went on to play football for the University of Houston. Halley and his beautiful wife Jennifer are proud parents of Hannah Marie Spencer who recently joined them in April of 2007.  In his spare time, Halley is an avid Houston sports fan who enjoys basketball, golf and firing up the grill with friends and family.

Shantill Salas /Loan Officer

Shantill Salas is a Residential Loan Officer who specializes in investor purchase money. As an investor herself she is very knowledgeable on the loan programs available and can help to expand your rental portfolio and build the nest egg you always wanted. As a mother of 5 she is very focused on your needs and can give the personal touch that you look for in a loan officer. She enjoys spending time with her husband and children on the weekends and if there is any time left she is looking at property for new investment opportunities.

Ben Robicheux /Loan Officer

Ben Robichaux is a Residential Loan Officer with Texas Loan Star since November 2006.  He recently relocated to Houston after selling his business in Nashville, Tennessee where he attended Belmont University and met his wife while she was obtaining her Masters from Vanderbilt University.  With over 10 years experience in owning his own business, Ben is very detail oriented and makes every effort to anticipate hurdles that may arise.  He enjoys traveling with his wife, including skiing, snowboarding, the beach and visiting small out of the way places. 

Cristina Collins /Processor/Loan Officer

Cristina Collins has worn many hats at Texas Loan Star and has held such titles as Loan Officer, Marketing Director, Loan Processor and Closing Coordinator. Cristina’s experience and expertise will ensure a smooth loan process and easy close.  She has been with Texas Loan Star since August 2004 and enjoys learning more about the business and growing with the industry. When she is not busy closing loans Cristina enjoys spending time with her husband and son and exploring Houston’s museums, gallery’s and restaurants.

Paige Simms /Junior Processor

Paige Simms rejoined the Texas Loan Star team after recently completing her Anthropology Degree at Michigan State University. After spending her summer breaks at Texas Loan Star, she made the move into the mortgage industry and looks forward to career growth in this field. Her experience working files during her summer breaks has afforded her the knowledge needed to succeed at Texas Loan Star.

Amanda Brouillette/Closing Coordinator

Amanda Brouillette is our new Closing Coordinator.  She has just relocated from Rhode Island bringing with her 3 years of mortgage experience.  Amanda began her career as a Loan Specialist then was promoted to Loan Processor prior to moving to Texas.  Her excellent customer service skills along with her attention to details and organizational skills enable her to provide you with a hassle free closing.  She is excited about the challenge of her new career with Texas Loan Star, Inc and her new home in the Heights area of Houston.  There are a lot of new things to see and learn.  “I love the people here in TX, they are great!”  She enjoys spending time outdoors with her boyfriend, Frank and their American Bull dog Krystal.
